The development of four luxury mews houses, designed to prioritise energy efficiency and sustainability. Despite the site’s spatial limitations, the project pushed beyond standard requirements, achieving a highly insulated and airtight design that surpassed the Part L Building Regulations.
Our team managed the integration of advanced building systems, including heat recovery ventilation, underfloor heating with a slim-profile build-up, and cutting-edge BMS controls. These innovations were carefully coordinated to ensure seamless construction, delivering exceptional comfort while optimising energy performance. Rooflights and highly efficient LED lighting were strategically implemented, enhancing daylight penetration and minimising artificial lighting needs. In line with a holistic approach, the basement garage was naturally ventilated, avoiding the need for energy-intensive mechanical systems. The result was a sustainable development within challenging site constraints, earning EPC A ratings. SPH London’s cost management expertise helped realise this ambitious project, ensuring it met both sustainability goals and financial targets.
